As Bond, Queer Bond details, it was a gay man that created the genre of the James Bond song. And from Lionel Bart’s first note, the music of Bond was never meant for arenas.

One night only. No distance. No anonymity.

Sweeping brass.

Smoky ballads.

The particular tension of a song that knows something you don’t. In a 55-seat room, that tension has nowhere to hide — and nowhere to go but straight into the room. Cue one of London’s great new performance and wholly unique arts theatres, Circle & Star.

In London’s Hampstead on April 25 2026 cabaret star, pop culture crooner and Bond fan Lenny Beige returned to Stages at the Circle & Star Theatre for an evening of glamour, wit and unforgettable music from the world of Bond at a brand new venue that is fast becoming a Bond music fixture.

This bullet catcher was very proud to be a special guest for Beige Bond talking about all things Bond, Queer Bond, and joining a cracking bill that included Bond actresses Carole Ashby (A View to a Kill) and Madeleine Smith (Live and Let Die) and singer Betty Lou.
