The first new Aston Martin DB5 in 55 years has rolled off the production line as the inaugural DB5 Goldfinger Continuation car is unveiled for Bond fans and car collectors alike.
Created in association with EON Productions, each limited edition car features working gadgets first seen in the 1964 designer bullet, GOLDFINGER.
With BOND 25 in mind, twenty five cars nicknamed ‘JOB 1’ have been produced as NO TIME TO DIE revs its engines and hopes to leave the garage from November 2020. Each new DB5 comes with a £3.3million price-tag – 790 times more than the original marque in 1964.
With design advice from Bond FX master Chris Corbould (who took two seconds to agree to work with EON and Aston Martin on the bespoke project) the new cars come complete with genuine working Q-Branch gadgets and each took 4,500 hours to hand- build.
Each Continuation DB5 has battering rams front and rear, a phone, glove box tricks, a rear smoke screen, oil slick systems, 1964-minded sat nav and a removable passenger seat roof panel to suggest an ejector seat exit.
