A Bond legend is about to return to screens as the feature documentary From Roger Moore with Love offers a fresh, candid and exclusive new portrait of the great man himself.

Produced by Whynow Studios (Coco Chanel Unbuttoned), the documentary will air on BBC TWO and BBC iPlayer over Christmas 2024, is receiving a UK theatrical release at the Everyman and Picturehouse chains from December 15th/18th 2024 and will have an international cut released after that.

From an unlikely career as a knitwear poster boy via a Concorde era of jet setting, that Home Counties studio belt, his family life in Denham and beyond, breaking Hollywood more than once, The Sinatras, The Caines, Tony Curtis, Elizabeth Taylor, Joan Collins, being knighted, UNICEF and of course seven movie bullets as James Bond…. From Roger Moore with Love is directed by Jack Cocker, executive produced by Janet Lee and Gabriel Jagger, and produced by Karen Steyn.

‘Partnering with Whynow Studios, BBC and the Moore family on From Roger Moore with Love is an incredible opportunity for us at Fremantle. We’re excited to share the fascinating journey of this legendary actor with audiences. This documentary honours Roger’s legacy and sheds light on how he revitalised the role of Bond and left an indelible mark on cinema history.’

– Céire Clark, Fremantle

‘Cocker barely pauses when asked what is his favourite Moore moment. “I would definitely say The Spy Who Loved Me — because that is where the stars aligned Roger Moore the person and Roger Moore the movie star. The Venn diagram then became a total eclipse.

“That’s where he realised that he didn’t have to try and ape Connery in any way. He could, as the film suggests, stop trying to turn Roger Moore into James Bond. Turn James Bond into Roger Moore.’
