As 70 YEARS OF 007 was celebrated in apt style at The London Library by Ian Fleming Publications on the seventieth anniversary of the first publication of CASINO ROYALE, Bond literary alumni, advocates and family gathered to toast Commander Bond.
One highlight involved Fleming’s nieces and literary custodians Kate Grimond and Lucy Fleming buoyantly reciting and reminding of some of the reviews of the novel at the time, and how right – and wrong – some of them were.
